Celebration!

oh my- I'm finally GRADUATED! I am so so grateful that I got my degree.
I'm even more grateful that my sweet husband is letting me stay home with miss Amelia.

My university supervisor gave me the kindest evaluations, she said I taught like a veteran teacher and that I should teach at the university level.  I didn't say that to be like "ooh look at me" but it really got me thinking about my education and all that I've learned.  It has been one of the hardest things I've done in my life (up there with childbirth and a marathon).  I never thought I'd pass abstract algebra or master ordinary differential equations- there came a point when I really didn't know if I would be able to graduate, but thanks to my husband and father (one semester I cried in his office every.single.day) I did! I have learned an incredible amount of things and had some pretty amazing professors {one even worked at CERN and helped in the discovery of the "God particle"}.

I truly feel that Education is part of Heavenly Father's plan.  I know that I was supposed to study Math- it might sound strange but sometimes I knew the only way I would be able to understand all of the crazy complex math was through the help of my Heavenly Father.  There were so many times I would pray to Him and ask for help and guidance in the things I was studying.  I know Heavenly Father cares about me so much and wants me to succeed in whatever I wanted to pursue.

Some day I will probably go back to school and teach at a University (when all the kids are grown :) ) because I have this horrible fear of losing all the knowledge I've gained.  Anyway I just love this, it is from For the Strength of the Youth pamphlet -->

Education is an important part of Heavenly Father’s plan to help you become more like Him. He wants you to educate your mind and to develop your skills and talents, your power to act well in your responsibilities, and your capacity to appreciate life. The education you gain will be valuable to you during mortality and in the life to come.

Education will prepare you for greater service in the world and in the Church. It will help you better provide for yourself, your family, and those in need. It will also help you be a wise counselor and companion to your future spouse and an informed and effective teacher of your future children.

Education is an investment that brings great rewards and will open the doors of opportunity that may otherwise be closed to you. Plan now to obtain an education. Be willing to work diligently and make sacrifices if necessary. Share your educational goals with your family, friends, and leaders so they can support and encourage you.

and because probably nobody read all my ramblings... here is a picture of my Amelia :)
